About the park
Christchurch Green is a large open green space with a newly refurbished children’s play area that is conveniently situated in Wanstead High Street. It’s close to lots of local amenities and places to eat and drink. The medieval church still stands within the grounds of the open space and is still widely attended. This area is very popular especially in the summer where the public enjoy having a picnic on the grass. There is also a festival held on this green once a year, usually in September.
The Green Cafe
The cafe is open everyday 10am-5.30pm.
Come and join us for a selection of delicious pastries and a hot or cold drink.
Hot beverages: Union Coffee, Latte, Capuccino, Flat White, Hot Chocolate, Mocca and Teas.
Cold drinks: canned soft drinks like Coca Cola, fanta, posh pops – Fentimans and Innocent smoothies. We are now also serving slushies to keep you cool and refreshed on your visit.
