About the park
A Green Flag Award park with a variety of mature trees which provide a vista of colours particularly during Autumn months and will appeal to keen artists and photographers. There is a resting area in the centre of the park that has been recently landscaped and has been planted with shrubs and bulbs to provide an abundance of colour.
Elmhurst Park has been honoured with the prestigious Green Flag Award 2024, which recognises and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces, across the UK.

Elmhurst Gardens has retained its Green Flag Status for 2024.
Valentines Park and Hainault Forest in Redbridge have been named among the UK’s top ten parks in the 2024 People’s Choice Awards. This prestigious award recognises and celebrates parks that are clean, well-maintained, and inviting spaces for relaxation and recreation, and highlights the strong community support for Redbridge’s beloved green spaces.
Tennis
We have 10 parks across the borough with tennis courts, including Elmhurst Gardens that are available to book during park open times.
Cost to hire the courts:
- Monday – Friday up to 12noon – FREE
- Monday – Friday 12-5pm – £2.50
- Monday – Friday 5pm to closing & weekends – £5
