This winter, Vision Redbridge is bringing festive fun to Redbridge with an amazing line-up of events guaranteed to get you in the Christmas spirit! From dazzling light switch-ons to hilarious theatre shows, creative workshops, and magical markets; there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

 

Christmas Light Switch On

Kick off the season in style with the Christmas Light Switch On; there’s no better way to start your festivities than with twinkling lights and plenty of Christmas cheer! Santa’s elves need your help to graduate from Elf Academy, help them spread enough Christmas cheer to light up the borough’s Christmas trees. Join us at your local switch-on event and help make the magic happen!

 

A Theatrical Christmas

If you’re looking for a dose of drama this winter, the stage is set!
Head to the Redbridge Drama Centre for The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, running from 14 – 31 December. Follow Dorothy a whirlwind adventure to Oz in this enchanting production from Redbridge Creates Theatre Company.

Don’t miss the special Mayor’s Gala Night performance on Friday 19 December, which includes photo opportunities with the cast – a magical evening for a great cause.

Santa’s Christmas Workshop is back! Join Santa and his elves as they get ready for the big day in this interactive family show. Afterwards, children can meet Father Christmas himself – but hurry, these workshops sell out fast!

And for even more laughter, the Pop-Up Panto brings Jack and the Beanstalk to life with giant fun, super costumes, and plenty of festive cheer. Don’t miss out on this special Pantomime this Christmas!

 

Festivities at Valentines Mansion

Get ready for Christmas at Valentines Mansion on Sunday 7 December; enjoy carol singing, live music, craft stalls, and the beautiful Artists Open Studios – perfect for finding those unique Christmas gifts. The mansion will also host a Christmas Wreath Workshop on Sunday 30 November, where you can create a handmade decoration to take home, to give your home that extra festive touch.

 

Markets, Trails & More!

For a festive shopping trip, head to Hainault Forest’s Christmas Market on Saturday 29 to Sunday 30 November. Browse unique gifts, watch live demonstrations, and enjoy festive treats – plus, the little ones can meet Santa himself!

From Friday 19 to Saturday 20 December, take part in the 1856 Café Christmas Trail. Children can decorate gingerbread men, and enjoy a warm cup of hot chocolate while following a fun festive trail.

And don’t forget to visit Owls Play Centre, where the Christmas Disco, taking place on Tuesday 16 to Thursday 18 December, will have everyone dancing to festive tunes!

 

Join the Christmas Choir this Winter

Would you like to take part in this year’s Christmas Concert (taking place on Friday 12 December in Ilford Town Hall – featuring RMS Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Youth Choir, Singing Club, Adult Choir and specially formed for this event, Christmas Choir). Redbridge Music School is inviting singers of all ages and experience levels to join the Christmas Choir, whether you’re a seasoned performer or new to singing, this is a wonderful opportunity to be part of a magical community celebration this winter!

 

Get Creative at Redbridge Libraries

Feeling crafty? Throughout winter, Redbridge Libraries will be hosting a range of festive arts and crafts sessions. Create your own seasonal decorations or design handmade gifts that will make your presents truly unique. These sessions are perfect for all ages, so bring the whole family and let your creativity shine!
