Frequently Asked Questions Returning to Leisure Facilities

Do I need to pre-book to use gym or pool

All gym and pool sessions are 55 minutes long and must be pre-booked online via website or APP. All non-members must pay in advance for sessions.

Will gym and pool have reduced numbers?

All gym and pool sessions will have reduced numbers in line with Government and Industry guidance. These maximum capacity numbers will not be exceeded.

How will gym equipment be clean?

Gym users must wipe down gym equipment prior to and after using, and gym staff will be in gyms cleaning equipment throughout sessions. Cleaning stations with cleaning products and hand sanitiser are placed next to equipment such as free weights.

How will changing rooms be kept clean?

Gym and class users will need to come to facilities ready to exercise and no showers or changing rooms will be available. The exception will be South Woodford Gym as changing pods in situ.

Swimming pool changing rooms will be staffed at all times who will be cleaning. Fullwell Cross changing rooms are now unisex with alternate changing rooms being used each session. This will allow full cleaning when not in use.

Mayfield and Loxford pool changing rooms will be cleaned between each pool session and the pool programme has been written to provide cleaning breaks.

How will studio classes work with social distancing?

Studios will be configured to allow social distancing in classes, with reduced numbers where required, or classes will be moved to larger venues to accommodate participants.

Are you implementing track and trace?

Yes, as all users of any activity require to be pre-booked online through our website or APP, we will have details on our system for each activity and session and if required for track and trace

I am not comfortable returning to a leisure centre at present. Can I continue to suspend my membership?

Yes, you can continue to freeze your membership and this can be done by writing to membership@vision-rcl.org.uk.

I have an annual membership. What will happen to the months when the facilities were closed?

Your annual membership expiry date will be extended for the period of closure.
