Valentines Mansion will be celebrating the talents of its nine local artists on Sunday 25 June with an Artists’ Open Studios event.
Normally a private workspace for the local makers, the historic top floor of the grade II* listing building will be open to visitors for this special event.
The popular event brings together a diverse range of artistic disciplines, including painting, ceramics, textile art, stained glass, basketry and more. The open day gives the public a chance to meet the artists, see how their work is made, and purchase unique, handcrafted items.
Featuring local Redbridge and East London based artists Lisa Atkin, Sheila Louis, Amanda Seljubac, Louise Moore, Emily Wen, Jason Rose, Tara Fleur, Julian Walker and Anne Eggebert.
Visitors will have the chance to see the artists in their element, creating their artwork and some of the artists will also be giving the public the opportunity to try their hand at getting creative.
A wonderful, artistic day out for all the family, the studios will be open between 10.30am-4pm, with free entry. The rest of the period rooms within the house will also be open, and the gardens are a wonderful place to explore and relax in.
