From imaginative theatre shows to energetic outdoor activities and seasonal workshops, there’s something for every child to enjoy. Each of our events are welcoming, affordable, and rooted in the heart of Redbridge.
October Half Term
Swim Crash Course (Mayfield)
Location: Mayfield Leisure Centre
During the summer holidays we will be running swimming crash courses for children from Ducklings to Stage 4.

Learn to Ride (6+)
Location: Redbridge Cycling Centre
Want to gain more confidence riding a bike? Whether you’re taking your first steps on two wheels or looking to build new skills, we have you covered, with our Learn to Ride classes.
Ready Set Ride
Location: Redbridge Cycling Centre
A programme of 2 sessions over 2 days in our Learn to Ride area: Learn to balance, learn to pedal, get riding, aimed at getting children learning to ride in a short period of time.
The first session will teach balance, gliding and co-ordination. The second session will teach them how to pedal without stabilisers and the third session will practice pedalling and focus on them braking, cornering and their bike handling skills.
BMX Skills
Location: Redbridge Cycling Centre
Suitable for competent cyclists who wish to try BMX, this course is an introduction to the basic techniques needed to ride the BMX track safely. Riders must be able to cycle standing up on the pedals out of the saddle to do this course.
Mountain Bike Skills
Location: Redbridge Cycling Centre
An ideal taster session which is suitable for riders who have limited off road cycling experience who would like to try mountain biking.
Watersports Camp
Location: Fairlop Outdoor Activity Centre
Join in on the fun and experience our exciting Watersports Camp perfect for children who want to try new activities, boost their confidence on the water, and enjoy an unforgettable break with friends.Each action‑packed day includes a mix of water and land‑based activities such as sailing, kayaking, canoeing, bell boating, katakanuing, team games, and an Easter treasure huntplus plenty more!

Location: Redbridge Drama Centre
On Your Bike Baffo
Get ready for big laughs as the lovable, bumbling Baffo returns in a riotous, cycle-themed clown show. Wondering how to blow up a tyre or ride a bike? Baffo’s got you covered… sort of. Expect wild stunts, ridiculous feats and plenty of belly laughs, all set to live music. It’s pure fun from the starting line to the finish.

Redbridge Outdoor Arts

Junior Gym (Ages 11-15)
Location: Redbridge Drama Centre, Mayfield Leisure Centre, Serenity Ilford and Wanstead Leisure Centre
Our Junior Gym sessions are designed to help 11–15‑year olds learn how to use the gym safely while building healthy habits for life. Each session is overseen by our qualified fitness team, ensuring young members feel comfortable, capable and motivated.
Black History Month
Location: Redbridge Libraries & Ken Aston Square
This October, Vision Redbridge Culture and Leisure, in collaboration with Redbridge Council and local community organisations, is proud to honour Black History Month with a vibrant programme of events taking place across the borough.
Festival of the Dead
Location: Redbridge Libraries
This year, inspired by different customs and traditions from around the world, Festival of the Dead will be even bigger and take place in both Wanstead and Ilford.
On Thursday 29 October, you are invited to join us at Wanstead Library and at Redbridge Central Library on Friday 30 October.

Elf Jr
Location: Redbridge Drama Centre
Presented by Redbridge Creates Youth Theatre Company.Buddy, a young orphan, mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised, unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty list and that his stepbrother doesn’t even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.
