| Love reading and a good natter about books?
Join our Hardbackers Book Chat for a special LGBT+ History Month meet-up. This February, we’ll be discussing Santanu Bhattacharya’s debut novel One Small Voice. We’ll follow Shabby as he approaches adulthood, and focuses on the only path he believes will buy him an escape – good school, good degree, good job, good car. But when he arrives in Mumbai in his twenties, he begins to question whether there might be other roads he could choose. His new friends, Syed and Shruti, are asking the same questions: together, buoyed by the freedom of the big city, they are rewriting their stories. You can join us in person at Redbridge Central Library via Teams — whatever works for you! If joining us in-person at the library, you’re welcome to bring a drink in a covered cup – biscuits are provided. Want more info or the Teams joining instructions? Drop us an email at library.information@visionrcl.org.uk and we’ll get you sorted. Suitable for ages 16+
