We are delighted to invite you to a very special event — the launch of the Ukrainian Children’s Reading Space at Redbridge Central Library. This milestone celebration brings 200 new children’s books in Ukrainian to London, encouraging a love of reading and cultural connection within the community.
The books were generously donated thanks to a charity music festival organised by the Redbridge Ukrainian Community Centre in support of Ukrainian children.
The event will feature:
- A children’s book reading and signing with Ukrainian author Oleksandra Dikaia
- A live piano fairy-tale performance by composer Mariya Yaremak
- A creative workshop for children to design their own fairy-tale characters
- An opportunity for families to explore and borrow the new collection
