Think Outside the Box: The Amazing Tree Machine Family Workshop, 6-12 yrs

Thursday February 19, 2026
10:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Open wooden puzzle-box suitcase on a table in a library, showing a control panel with lights, dials and wires, with keys and small wooden components laid out in front.

✨Puzzles, clues and teamwork—your family’s next adventure starts here. ✨

Dr Neena’s incredible Tree Machine has broken down — and only your family can get it working again. Search for missing cogs and batteries, crack codes, and solve hands-on challenges to bring the machine back to life. (Cost: £4.00 group/family ticket, 4 sessions available on the day)

In this engaging one-hour experience, you’ll think creatively, communicate, and work together as a family to save the day. Every group plays as a team — there’s a role for everyone, from little clue-spotters to grown-up problem-solvers!

Suitable for families with children 6 years old and above. No special knowledge needed — just curiosity, teamwork, and a spirit of adventure.

This project is supported by Libraries Connected and Arts Council England through the National Lottery.
