Salary: £20,670 per annum (pro rata)

Type: Temporary (until December 2022), full time – 40 hours per week

The Sport & Leisure Service are recruiting for a Membership Advisor on a temporary basis.

Greeting our customers with a warm and friendly welcome, you will be the first point of contact when our members join. Offering excellent advice and customer service, retaining our current membership base and answering any questions our customers may have, you are a key part of team to sell Vision’s leisure experience!

Key Tasks:

  • To provide membership sales support for the leisure facilities.
  • To support the Centre Managers in establishing and managing appropriate systems for effective membership management.
  • To act as an efficient contact within the Centre, dealing with a range of membership interest from members of the public and maintaining a polite and efficient manner face to face, in writing and on the telephone.
  • To collate membership forms and liaise with external direct debit collection agencies.
  • To liaise directly with members and manage membership enquires including tours of the Centre.
  • To update and manage the administration of the membership database including Gladstone use.
  • To update and manage the supervision of membership debt.
  • To oversee the administration and procedures of membership cancellations.
  • To compile and complete monthly usage figures for all activities and facility use.
  • To carry out reception duties as and when required, including end of shift procedures, cash reconciliation and safekeeping of monies.
  • To work as part of a team, or independently as the situation demands, support other team members and provide cover as required.
  • To undertake any training and development activity as required for efficient service delivery.
  • To take the appropriate level of responsibility for Health & Safety.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience of working within the leisure industry is preferred.
  • Previous experience of working within a sales environment is preferred.
  • Previous administration experience is preferred.
  • Required to work outside normal hours, including evenings, weekends, public holidays with flexibility of location.
