About the facility

Ready to take your training up a notch? Our venue has it all: a state of the art 8 lane track, top tier field event zones, and a gym only option available as part of our flexible packages. From astro turf to grass pitches, and a hall to hire for your event needs. It’s your one stop spot for serious sport, fitness, and fun. Come see what you’re capable of.

During large track bookings, the facility is closed to the public for the duration of those sessions; outside of these times, it remains open for public use. View the track closure timetable.

Athletics Track

We have an eight lane track, competition specification hammer, two long jump/triple jump pits and javelin and shot put areas. There are also high jump and pole vault facilities. We offer pay as you go access or an annual membership offering unlimited access to the track. The track is open to the public from dusk to dawn.

We now have a brand new Gym and Track membership option available. Pay £325 upfront for unlimited use 7 days a week for a whole year!

If you are looking for gym only option then our gym at Ashton Playing Fields could be just what you need! Sign up to annual membership for just £300 or pay £30 per month for unlimited use 7 days a week.

The Function Hall at Ashton Playing Fields is capable of holding 120 people and available until 11.30pm on Fridays and Saturday. The function hall is perfect for any event, including, birthdays, christenings, weddings and anniversaries. The Meeting Room is available all day every day, and is great for coffee mornings, tutorials or meetings. Holding up to 15 people a fantastic atmosphere can be generated.
