Regular print is usually 10 or 12 point. We have an excellent collection of large print stock, both fiction and non-fiction, available from all our libraries.

Audio books

Audio books are great if you’re struggling with print; they are available from all Redbridge Libraries. If you are registered blind or have a visual impairment they are free to borrow.

Magnifying aids

Available for customers to use in some libraries; please ask staff for details.

Home Library Service

Would you like to receive books at home?

Redbridge Libraries has a volunteer-led Home Library Service where volunteers visit you in your home and deliver books to you.

It isn’t dependant on your age or circumstances – only that you live in Redbridge and are currently unable to get to a library to get books for yourself due to ill health or disability.

It might be that you care for someone and it is impossible to come to a library, or it might be that you or a loved one is at home and housebound and would dearly love to read.

If you would like to be considered for this service, or would like to find out more, please get in touch via email.

For more information on any of these services, please contact your local library.
