We offer a home delivery service for customers who still want to read but are unable to get to their local library or mobile library. It’s for anyone who for any reason is confined to their home. There is no charge for this service.
To find out more and to speak confidentially to a library staff member about this service please phone 020 8708 2031 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
You will be contacted by phone and we will speak to you about your reading needs. You will be asked what books you would like to read to help us choose books for you.
What can you borrow?
A volunteer from the library will bring a selection of materials to your home about every three weeks and you may choose from our books and audiobook sets. We arrange one of our volunteers to visit you at a time and day to suit you both.
Books for partially sighted people
A wide range of books are held in large print or you might prefer to listen to books on audio CD.
Residential home loans
If you are the manager of a residential or nursing home in Redbridge and would like collections of books delivered for residents in your care home, please email or phone your nearest Redbridge Library.
Please note Redbridge Carers and Individual Carers can also use the Home Library Services. They will be required to show their Redbridge Carers card as proof to access this service.
