Mental Health Awareness Week 2023

Mental Health Awareness Week

Mental Health Awareness Week is an ideal time for us all to think about mental health, tackle stigma, and find out how we can create a society that prevents mental health problems from developing and protects our mental well-being. Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It can affect how we think, feel, and act alongside determining how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices in our lives.

Vision Redbridge Culture and Leisure recognise the importance of developing and maintaining positive mental health, and are committed to providing services within the community which can positively impact mental health and wellbeing.

To bring awareness to and support the aims of Mental Health Awareness Week, Vision Redbridge are delivering a timetable of FREE events across Redbridge. Linking to the 5 Ways To Wellbeing, activities across the week aim to support residents to ‘Get Active, Connect, Take Notice, Learn and Give’.

From a spa session, to a family swim, to a coaching session at the Redbridge Cycling Centre, men and women can attend an activity session within their community. Attendees can come along to as many sessions as they wish, with a full timetable of events in different areas of the Borough.

Vision Redbridge Culture and Leisure will be supported by their key partners London Borough of Redbridge Public Health and Redbridge CVS who will be attending various events throughout the week to share information about mental  health or to provide signposting to the appropriate service for further support.
