Allotments & Sponsorships
What are you looking for today?
Dreaming of your own green haven?
There are twenty-four allotment sites within the Borough. Fourteen are directly let from Vision RCL and the other ten are managed by societies or independent voluntary organisations. If you live in Redbridge and are over the age of 18 you can apply to rent an allotment.
About the allotments
One rod is equal to 25 square metres. Our allotment gardens vary in size but are normally 5 rods (125 square metres) or 10 rods (250 square metres).
Facilities on allotment sites vary but usually include piped water and toilets. Some sites have parking and society trading huts.
Most of the plots run by Vision RCL are currently occupied and the majority of our waiting lists are oversubscribed, please see the list below for availability. Alternatively, you can contact the Allotment Societies for the availability of their plots.

Sponsorships
Our services offer the opportunity for people to sponsor a tree or bench which could be to celebrate a special occasion, a new birth, or a memorial to a loved one.
This scheme allows individuals to donate a tree which can be placed within the boundaries of many of our parks and open spaces, or sponsor a bench in loving memory of those who once enjoyed the beauty of visiting our parks and were a part of the parks community, or to immortalise a special occasion.
Download the guidance notes on sponsorship across parks and open spaces for types of benches and trees, including costs (PDF 143KB)
