Commemorate a loved one
Our services offer the opportunity for people to sponsor a tree or a bench to celebrate a special occasion, a new birth, or as a memorial to a loved one.
This scheme allows individuals to donate a tree within many of our parks and open spaces, or sponsor a bench in loving memory of those who once enjoyed visiting our parks and were part of the parks community.
Trees
Planting takes place between October and March, with a preselected choice of location and species.
Trees supplied are standards with a circumference of 12–16cm at 1m, a minimum height of 2m, and a well‑developed head of branches, or a feathered tree of similar size. The cost of a tree, including planting, staking and mulching, is £450 + VAT. Larger trees are available upon request.
We can also arrange for the purchase and installation of a metal plaque in front of the tree carrying your suitably worded inscription. A 6 x 4 inch plaque carrying up to 60 characters, placed into the ground will cost an additional £200.00 + VAT. Larger plaques are available upon request.
NOTE:
1. We will replace any tree that perishes through natural causes in the first year, but cannot unfortunately undertake to replace those that are vandalised or fail at a later date
2.No additional flowers or memorabilia should be attached or placed around the tree.
3. At present; due to over-subscription we are unable to accept any further requests for trees or benches in Christchurch Green.

Memorial benches
We have many sponsored memorial benches across our parks and open spaces.
The majority of these benches are often sponsored by loved ones in loving memory of those who once enjoyed the beauty of visiting our parks and were a part of the parks community.

Please note: we cannot undertake to replace any missing or vandalised plaques.
NOTE:
1. We can carry out reasonable repairs to donated benches, but cannot replace seats that are vandalised beyond economic repair or stolen. Vision RCL accepts no replacement liability for the plaque or bench at the end of its useful life.
2. No additional flowers or memorabilia should be attached or placed around the bench.

4. We are not currently taking any requests for Valentines Park.
