Redbridge Museum is set for a major transformation thanks to a grant worth £99,990 from The National Lottery Heritage Fund awarded in May 2019. Thanks to National Lottery players, the award will enable the museum based in Redbridge Central Library to revamp its much-loved permanent exhibition dedicated to celebrating local history. The National Lottery Heritage Fund has awarded £4.2 million to Redbridge Council to restore the forest to its former natural and wild state and help threatened species thrive, including eleven species of bat. Among them, the rare Barbastelle bat which was spotted there in 2017, the first time it had been seen in London for
