Music for Early Years at Redbridge Music Service is designed for young children from birth to age 7. Our classes are designed to contribute to your child’s overall development as well as to give them a strong foundation for future music learning. Combining songs, rhymes, structured movement, and dance with focused listening and age appropriate percussion instruments; fun is guaranteed.
Mini Musicians
Catering for children from birth to 4 years of age, these fun classes for families are a wonderful way for your child to begin their musical journey.
The classes include songs, rhymes, movement activities (such as rocking, bouncing and dancing) and a range of age-appropriate props and percussion instruments.
Age: 0 to 4 years
When and Where: Mondays – Wanstead Library, Wednesdays – John Savage Centre
Music Kindergarten and Music Makers
Classes for children in Reception and Year 1 are available on both Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Children learn musicianship skills which form the foundation for future music learning.
Age: Music Kindergarten – Reception, Young Music Makers – Yr. 1
When and Where: Wednesdays or Thursdays (after school) at the John Savage Centre
More Music Makers
More Music Makers is a musicianship class for children in Years 2, 3 or 4 who may have missed out on the opportunity to attend Music Kindergarten or Music Makers.
Age: Years 2, 3 and 4
When and Where: John Savage Centre, Thursdays from 6.00pm – 6.45pm
