Are you or your children interested in creating, learning and exploring the world of Theatre and Performing? Redbridge Creates offers you the perfect opportunity to learn a new skill. With a range of workshops suitable for Under 5s, right through to adults.
Classes take place in our dedicated studio spaces with professional lighting and sound systems. We offer trial sessions for all of our classes – give us a call for more information on booking these.
Musical Theatre
Monday: 4:30pm to 6:00pm @ Redbridge Drama Centre
Age: Reception to Year 2
Our Musical Theatre classes bring together singing, acting and movement to help participants develop as confident, expressive performers. Students work on songs, scenes and choreography from a range of musicals, learning how to tell stories through music, character and performance.
Classes are practical, energetic and supportive, helping students build vocal confidence, stage presence, teamwork and performance technique. Sessions are led by experienced teachers and creative practitioners who understand how to nurture talent while making the work enjoyable, focused and accessible.
Round off the year by performing an edited version of a classic musical for family and friends.

Performing Arts

Age: Reception to Year 2
Our Performing Arts classes offer a broad introduction to theatre and performance, covering skills such as acting, movement, voice, improvisation, storytelling, devising and stagecraft. These sessions are ideal for participants who want to explore different areas of performance and develop their creativity in a varied, practical way.
Classes help students build confidence, communication skills, imagination and ensemble working. Led by experienced teachers and performing arts professionals, each session provides a supportive space for participants to learn, create and grow as performers, with the opportunity to perform in our annual showcase.

Street Dance
Thursday: 4:00pm to 4:45pm @ Redbridge Drama Centre
Age: Reception to Year 2
Teaching young dancers elements of Hip Hop, Jazz and Street Dance. Classes improve fitness, coordination, balance and control. Children can learn new skills, gain confidence and make new friends.
£8.75 per session
Actors Academy
Saturday: 10:00am to 12:00pm @ Redbridge Drama Centre
Age: Reception to Year 6
A fun packed Saturday morning drama school. Learn drama skills and social skills in age related groups while making new friends and having a wonderful time. Our courses are run by experienced drama practitioners.
The children work on a different theme every term – previous themes include Shakespeare, Roald Dahl, poems and short stories. The strategies used include story making, improvisation, individual, pair and group work, developing speaking and listening skills, building self-esteem and confidence and the use of drama conventions. On the last session of each term family and friends are invited to see a private sharing of the children’s work.

Redbridge Youth Theatre Workshop

Age: Year 10+
RYTW is a great place for young people to explore and create theatre and learn new skills. Previous years have seen RYTW chosen out of 500 Youth Theatre companies across the country to perform as the closing act of the ‘Connections’ festival on the Olivier Stage at the National Theatre. There is no audition process but during a series of sessions the directors are looking for:
- A willingness to work diligently in sessions and rehearsals and an impressive record of attendance
- A preparedness to work with others and cooperate as part of a team

A dynamic theatre company for those aged 21+ who produce an annual public production.

A Part Of Your World Workshop
Join us for a fun-filled holiday workshop inspired by The Little Mermaid, specially designed for children in Reception to Year 6. Get ready to make a splash with an exciting mix of singing, dancing, and drama as we bring the ocean to life!
From shimmering seashells to mysterious mermaids, children will explore a world beneath the waves, learning catchy songs, creating energetic dance routines, and acting out scenes packed with adventure, friendship, and bravery. Whether you’re a confident performer or trying the stage for the first time, everyone will have a chance to shine!
Our workshops build confidence, creativity, and teamwork in a supportive and imaginative environment, ending with a fantastic showcase performance for family and friends!
