Valentines Mansion Gardens

Relax and unwind in the gorgeous gardens at Valentines. Discover the historic kitchen garden, the Old English walled garden and the Victorian rose garden. There are also a whole host of unique features like the Long Water canal, rococo grottoes and dovecote. Valentines Gardens provide a wonderful setting for events throughout the year, from open-air theatre to tours and fairs.

The Dry Garden

Come and visit our Dry Garden – officially opened by Her Majesty The Queen on Thursday 29 March 2012 and the first major piece of planting in Valentines park since the Rose Garden laid out by Sarah Ingleby in the 1870s.

Gardener’s Cottage Cafe

Situated in the walled kitchen garden, the Gardener’s Cottage Café offers light bites and tasty snacks for all to enjoy.  With ample indoor and outdoor seating, it’s the perfect spot to meet with friends for a coffee, enjoy lunch with the family or simply sit back and unwind in the gorgeous surroundings of Valentines Gardens. 

The Great Vine

During the time of Charles Raymond, a Black Hamburg Vine was planted at Valentines Mansion and in 1769 a cutting was taken to Hampton Court Palace where it can still be seen thriving today. 

Animal Corner & Aviary

Come and visit our new animal corner, featuring birds and chipmunks. Situated by the Gardener’s Cottage Café.
