Vision Apprenticeship Programme
At Vision RCL we believe that the key to our success is our staff. Our services provide places where people and communities can thrive. In turn we believe that this is the same for our colleagues – who we will support to reach their career aspirations across our diverse range of cultural and leisure services.
We are offering a range of Apprenticeships across all services to support our Staff to develop their knowledge and provide their best service to the communities. These Apprenticeships offer work-based development opportunities for colleagues at all stages of their career.
All apprenticeships are delivered by Lifetime, an award-winning training provider. They support employers to deliver progressive training programs that transform businesses and develop the skills and careers of thousands across the UK.

FAQ’S (Frequently Asked Questions)
What is an apprenticeship?
Vision’s Apprenticeship is a work-based development program designed to allow you to develop role-relevant skills, knowledge and behaviour to upskill you into a new position or to help you understand your current position.
Who can do the apprenticeship?
All Staff are welcome to join our apprenticeship scheme even if the apprenticeship does not sit in your current service. We will advise you that in order to complete your apprenticeship, you will be required to move to the Service in which the apprenticeship sits. This will mean that you will no longer be working in the role you currently have at Vision. You have to be a minimum of 16 years old to start an apprenticeship, but there is no upper age limit if you are interested in training in a new career later in life.
I want to start an apprenticeship, who do I talk to & how do I start the process?
To be considered for a Vision Apprenticeship you will need to speak to your line manager who will be able to advise you if this apprenticeship is suitable for you. Once your manager has approved you will be able to fill in your details following the instructions on the above brochure.
You are also able to contact Hannah by emailing Visionrecruitment@visionrcl.org.uk.
Who will support me within the role?
Lifetime Training will be your main training provider who will take you through your apprenticeship. They will provide a mentor who will work with you on a 1:1 basis. Alongside this, you will be regularly supported by your line manager and a Vision Mentor who will be able to assist you with the practical side of your apprenticeship. Throughout your programme, you will be supported by Hannah in our HR team who will be on hand to support you with any questions, queries etc.
Do I need to pay for this apprenticeship?
No, our apprenticeship is funded through the Levy Grant. We in turn will not ask you to cover any cost during your training.
