Help us get Redbridge into the top ten by voting for your favourite park in the People’s Choice Awards.
This year an army of experts awarded a record breaking 2,061 Green Flag Awards to the UK’s very best parks and green spaces, including nine Redbridge parks. Organised by Keep Britain Tidy, the scheme is now asking the public to vote for their favourites.
Paul Todd, International Green Flag Award Manager said:
“This year we have all seen the importance of our precious parks and green spaces. The People’s Choice Award is an opportunity to show how much your favourite park means to you. Make your voice heard and vote now.”
Last year saw tens of thousands of people voting for their favourite park, with winners coming from all across the UK, including one of our very own. Valentines Park beat off the tough competition and was voted one of the Top Ten parks in the country.
In October, nine Redbridge parks and open spaces retained their Green Flag award for another year and have been automatically entered into this year’s People’s Choice award:
- Valentines Park
- Clayhall Park
- Claybury Wood
- Elmhurst Gardens
- Goodmayes Park
- Hainault Forest
- Ilford War Memorial
- Seven Kings Park
- South Park
Voting opened last Friday 30 October and closes Wednesday 25 November, with the top 10 winning sites announced on 3 December.
