Vision Redbridge Culture and Leisure has planned a sensational Zumba Party to kick start the New Year, with over 200 free places on offer. Everyone is invited! Come along and dance the afternoon away at Sir James Hawkey Hall, one of the largest indoor venues in Redbridge, on Sunday 29 January from 2:30 to 5pm.
Our Zumba and dance instructors will teach a non-stop, engaging dance style workout. A live DJ will keep the crowd moving, by playing music and rhythms that combine the dance styles of salsa, merengue, mambo, flamenco, chachacha, reggaeton, soca, samba, hip hop music, tango and more.
Zumba offers physical, mental and social benefits as a full body work-out which can improve co-ordination, boost your mood, provide a safe and encouraging space to learn how to dance which supports you to feel connected to a community. Designed to bring people together just looking to dance, de-stress, meet new people, try something new and have fun.
This event is part of the wider programme Active Body, Healthy Mind. A partnership between Redbridge Institute and Vision Redbridge Culture and Leisure to deliver an exciting programme of physical activity taster sessions across Redbridge. The FREE sessions are aimed at supporting adults (16+) to be more active, find their ‘thing’ and encourage them to take part on a more regular basis.
Physical activity has the potential to boost and enhance all aspects of our wellbeing and support us to feel connected to ourselves and others. Vision RCL strongly value these positive benefits and aim to support the community to access them by hosting a range of physical activity and wellbeing activities which are accessible to all.
