Join us to celebrate our diverse community!
Redbridge Outdoor Arts presents our 2026 programme, with street theatre, dance, music and playful joy we’re celebrating our communities in Refugee Week and South Asian Heritage Month, through Disabled-led performances and taking part in Black History Month.
Our shows are free, accessible, relaxed, take place on flat surfaces and performed outdoors, meaning you don’t have to sit still or be quiet throughout! You can come with the family, alone or with friends, and seating is provided.

TRUTH! is a unique outdoor performance by a 5 strong, inclusive ensemble of playful mischief makers. It’s a take on a brighter future, a joyful and absurd call to action. In a world so divisive, can we take a gentle moment of time to rebuild our community connections?
TRUTH! is a highly inclusive and accessible show – suitable for all audiences and ages.

ROOTS TO RISE by Nandita Shankardass

Duration: approximately 40 minutes
In dance theatre work Roots to Rise, Nandita Shankardass brings together three women, each absorbed in the chaos of their own world.
Blending folk and contemporary movement with Indian classical dance, we follow their journey back to the land, the soil, and the stories written in the stars.

Duration: approx. 30 minutes
Nadenh grew up on a boat within the jungle of Cambodia. As a Disabled child he could swim before he could wheel. The first time he saw a RO-TES-រទេះ (Khmer for wagon) was the moment he realised he could move with the land too.
Inspired by his Cambodian heritage Nadenh reimagines his wheelchair as a place that can support more than just his body.

Go Grandad Go is a heart warming inter-generational family story embedded in love. This relatable Hip-Hop theatre dance show inspires the young and empowers the… not so young.
The story presents new ways of understanding each other, sparking conversations about upbringing, culture and redefining generational relationships. “You are never too old to get involved.”
