ROA Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Pledge 2025

Redbridge Outdoor Arts is dedicated to fostering an inclusive, diverse and equitable environment for all- our audiences, staff, artists, partners and volunteers.

Our team is committed to upholding the values of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and we pledge to take action on these values in 2025:

  • Attract diverse audiences that are reflective of our communities- in programming and engagement.
  • Support global majority artists and D/deaf, disabled and under-represented artists and organisations.
  • Continuous development of inclusion, access and sustainability offers for our audiences, staff, volunteers and artists.
  • Hold ourselves accountable by seeking feedback, measuring impact, evaluation and transparently sharing our progress.

Deliver against key elements of the London Borough of Redbridge Equality Pledge

  • Provide visible leadership on equity and inclusion with respect to the nine protected characteristics of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation. We agree that there is no hierarchy within or amongst the protected characteristics.
  • Recognising our own biases, committing to active listening and learning to understand the experiences of all Redbridge residents.
  • Challenging discriminatory behaviour, holding peers accountable, calling in to the conversation and making a stand against all forms of discrimination.
  • Celebrating our communities, embracing the diversity of our Redbridge community.
  • Empowering voices of marginalised and hard to reach groups.

Active participation in Without Walls Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy 2024 – 2026
