Our Local Heroes, is a collection of artworks immortalising the famous (and not so famous) amazing people that live or once lived in and around our borough.

Using a range of print techniques including Collagraphy, Risograph and Press Printing, artists have created art pieces and designs that have incorporated a unique stamp collection.

Look out for locals such as Dr Barnardo, Fanny Cradock, Barbara Windsor, Sir Winston Churchill, Alfred Hitchcock and many more… There’s even some current local heroes that you should learn about.

Created by adults with learning disabilities and/or autism through their day opportunity services for a developing exhibition in 2024 at Tate Modern, this has become a collection like no other.  This project is led and promoted by Uniting Friends.
