Come along and learn all about Hedgehogs at Hainault Forest! These secretive animals are under threat, but we can do something to help them. Join our Education Ranger to take part in a variety of fun activities to discover more of their hidden world.
These activities are aimed at children aged 5-11, though anyone of any age with an interest is welcome.
Take part in hedgehog themed craft, find out how to tell if you have hedgehogs living near you, navigate the garden fence maze and make a pledge to help hedgehogs.
Pre-booked tickets online will receive a free keyring at the event
Dive into a world of colour and creativity, where every child can shine! If drawing isn’t your thing, don’t worry—we’ve got loads of other fun ways to create amazing art. This is all about celebrating YOU and your unique talents.
This special workshop is about making art accessible to everyone! For children with special needs and their families, we’ve created a playful, relaxed space where art becomes an adventure. With lots of ways to join in, everyone can explore their creativity—whether it’s painting, building, or simply having fun with colors and textures. If siblings want to hop over to Studio 1, they’re welcome too!

Drop-in workshops, no booking required!
In Dels laser workshop (1st craft unit as you come through the brown gates, farthest from the café)
Work with skilled glassblowers to create your own unique blown glass pumpkin – perfect for Hallowe’en but beautiful enough to display all year round!
You get to choose the colour combination, from a selection of special glass colours, to include in your pumpkin.
You will be given full guidance and support through the process, which involves melting colours into the surface, blowing the glass into a special mould and creating the stalk.
When your piece is finished it will go into our kiln to anneal for 24 hours. Pumpkins made 26th, 27th, & 28th will be ready to pick up on 31st October.
The workshop is suitable for supervised children from age 7+
All children and young people under 18 will require a responsible adult to be present.
Each session will last approx 25minutes

Join Pottery in the Park in painting your own masterpiece this October Half Term! A fun and engaging experience where you can explore your artistic abilities in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.
Halloween style items to paint such as ghosts, Frankenstein, witches, Lanterns shaped like pumpkins and witches hats, Witch cauldron mugs, Skull shaped money boxes and tea lights.
£5 per head studio charge to cover the paints, glazing and firing etc plus the cost of the chosen piece. Items are ready on 2-3 weeks for collection.
