Kai and Gerda are best friends who would do anything for each other. So when Kai disappears, Gerda knows she is the only one who can find him. She sets off on an epic journey, facing dangerous trials and meeting friends and enemies along the way…


With magic, mystery, live music and lots of laughs, Redbridge Drama Centre brings you a modern adaptation of this classic tale!

Join Tinder Sticks for a family day of fun in the woods! With your tribe learn different bushcraft skills, today is all about finding food, and campfire cooking. Make hunting tools such as traps, throwing arrows and string from plants to try and catch our soft toy animals!

Activities are aimed at age 8 and over – younger children welcome but will not be able to join in with the knife session. Please bring a packed lunch and bottle of water.

Join us for some autumnal themed nature crafts this half-term! With leaves falling off the trees and conkers all around, autumn is an ideal time to get creative.

With plenty of inspiration provided and information about famous nature artists, you could be making conker animal faces, leaf pictures or taking part in a large-scale art piece (specific activities are subject to availability and can change).

These activities are aimed at 4-11 year olds but are open to all who wish to take part. Adults accompanying children do not need to book a separate ticket.

Join the Forest Education Ranger for a morning tour around Foxburrows Farm. Discover the animals that live here, and help our Farm Rangers by giving some of them their breakfast.

Starting before the Farm is open to the public, this tour will teach you about the animals that we have on the farm, including how some can help to manage the forest. There will also be the opportunity to feed some animals (please note that we cannot guarantee feeding specific animals)

The tour will last approximately 50 minutes. The tour will start promptly at 9am

Visiting a farm is an enjoyable experience, but does carries a small risk of catching infection from animals or the environment, Particularly for those who are young, elderly, immunocompromised or pregnant. Erika Meza developed a taste for eclairs in Paris before moving to the UK to teach drawing. She won a scholarship to study in L’École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, where she learned to combine bold colour and mark-making with poetry.  She wrote To The Other Side as a reaction to the US separation policy in 2018.

Flavia Z Drago’s debut picture book, Gustavo the Shy Ghost (2020) became a #1 NY Times bestseller. It was followed by Leila the Perfect Witch (2022) and Vlad the Fabulous Vampire (2023). In 2021 she won the Klaus Flugge Prize, awarded to the awarded to the most promising and exciting newcomer to children’s picturebook illustration.

This project is supported with public funding from the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
