Join children’s book illustrator Julia Groves for storytelling and a fun collage activity all about honey bees. We will read Julia’s book Polly Bee Makes Honey and find out where bees live and how they make honey!

Julia Groves is an illustrator and a graduate of the MA in Children’s Book Illustration, Cambridge School of Art. She loves to work with cut-paper and printmaking and enjoys the design process and creating typography for her books. Julia has had six books published with Child’s Play UK/US and recently the Follow my Food series with Scallywag Press. Her books are mostly all about animals!

Join author and illustrator Marjoke Henrichs for a fun storytelling and drawalong event based on her new book Detective Catz and the Missing Nut.  

You might even get the chance to become a detective yourself! Marjoke Henrichs graduated from the MA Children’s Book Illustration course at Cambridge School of Art in 2019. She is also a theatre designer and a painter. She was born in the Netherlands and now lives in Suffolk.

Join Sara Stanley, author and children’s story player for a fun retelling of family stories in your cardboard box boats.

Listen to the story of her new picture book, One Button and the Sea, and create your own story with paper planes. Sara Stanley is an Early Years Consultant specialising in philosophical storyplay in the UK and South Africa. Having spent time working with displaced families in Northern France she now works as a bookseller in Norfolk. One Button And The Sea is her first picture book.

Welcome to Little Acorns Forest School with Tinder Sticks CIC, where we aim to build outdoor confidence in the under 5’s and their parents / carers.

Stay & play fun in the Forest! Wild play, nature crafts, wild art projects, exploring the woods, discover the minibeasts, getting muddy, getting cozy round the campfire, snuggling for stories, swinging in the hammocks! There’s lots to do every week and different seasonal themes throughout the term.

Runs weekly during term time and open to all preschool age children up to a maximum of 5 years old (ideally over 18 months old).


Join our fortnightly Saturday Sailing club.
Learn to sail, improve skills and confidence on the water. A session for all who have either no previous sailing experience or have completed RYA Stages.
They will learn how to rig, launch & land, how to steer & basic boat handling, ropework, capsize drills and understand the basic principles of sailing. Teaching takes place on the water, on land and in the classroom depending on the group and weather conditions.
