Join us for an alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter themed session as part of the ‘Colours of Redbridge’ programme, we’ll be collecting your stories and hopes for what you would like to experience in the future. Have you ever wondered how all the amazing books in a library were written? Or what makes a good story, ‘good’? Well it all starts with a sentence. In this short workshop with author Simon Maeder you will learn the secrets of writing a great sentence which will lead to a great story!

From useful tips and tricks to real in-depth understanding of the rules of the English language, this workshop is sure to make you more confident in your writing. We look forward to welcoming you and to reading your perfect sentences!

As part of this year’s Fabula Festival with Cabinet of Living Cinema and with the kind support of the BFI Film Exhibition Fund, catch the Enchanted Cinema’s new interactive project in Redbridge Libraries on Wednesday 26th July.

While Kieron creates beautiful cinematic scores to animated films on harp, viola, guitar and piano, YOU – a pop-up Orchestra of Enchanted Sounds – create live sound FX – seabirds, frogs, baby turtles, ”a cat-bus”, a snoring Totoro and a forest growing and live narration to and animated version of Where the Wild Things Are which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. All instruments / FX are provided.

Suitable for children aged 4+ and their families. Spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
