Looking for a fun and educational way to celebrate Ramadan and Eid? Join Barkingside Art Club for a free art workshop!

Explore the intricate patterns and designs of Islamic geometric art and learn about its influence on the British Arts and Crafts movement through William Morris.

The workshop will be divided into two parts, starting with an introduction to the patterns and designs used in Islamic geometric art. Our experienced facilitators will guide children in creating their own unique designs using simple tools.

In the second part of the workshop, children will turn their designs into Eid cards and gifts for their family and friends. This is a great opportunity for children to express their creativity while learning about the cultural significance of Ramadan and Eid.

Please note that this is a one-hour workshop and parents/guardians cannot leave their child unattended.

Interact with him as he explores his new powers, but be warned you may see more (or less) than you bargained for!

Come witness BEES! The Colony.

Tended by beekeepers, audiences wander amongst the honey-perfumed Bee colony, finding a variety of ways of viewing and interacting with the beehives. In each there is a surprising conceptual twist that challenges, charms and confounds expectations – you may find yourself looking into the vastness of space, or teased by a telescopic hive soaring into the air.

BEES! The Colony is supported by Without Walls.

Originally created as part of 6 Impossible Things – a collaboration between Avanti and Artizani with support from Arts Council England.
