To celebrate National Storytelling Week and LGBT+ History Month, join Cat & Hutch in this interactive storytelling of Oscar Wilde’s stories for children. Help the palace courtiers convince a Selfish Giant to let summer back to his garden, a Happy Prince deliver his jewels to the people of his city, and a Remarkable Rocket fly off into the sky, all in time for a very important royal wedding.

Cat & Hutch Storytellers bring children’s stories to life through interactive shows and workshops with the aim to encourage children to read for pleasure and use their imaginations to learn through play.

Join author Robert Tregoning for a very special event about finding the bravery to be yourself and living in ALL the colours of the rainbow!

In Out of the Blue, Robert’s debut picture book, ONLY BLUE IS ALLOWED by Blue government demand. Anything that isn’t blue is banned. In a world where only one colour is allowed, will the boy in our story be brave enough to tell his dad he loves the colour yellow? And will they be able to defy the rules and create a world where EVERY colour is welcome?

Robert Tregoning studied at the Glasgow School of Art before leaping in to a career on the West End stage. He has appeared in stage shows including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, directed by Academy Award-winner Sam Mendes, and the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Matilda the Musical. As an LGBTQ+ writer, Robert hopes to help children and adults alike to accept and celebrate all that makes us uniquely ourselves.

Booking essential; tickets are free, or alternatively you can pre-purchase a signed copy of the book!

Join picture book author Gareth Peter for a fun and interactive session based on his colourful and inclusive picture book My Mummies Built A Treehouse. He’ll be reading from his rainbow library of published books, and talking about his writing journey, family and dreams.

Building a treehouse is a big project. But when your mummies are there to help you, there’s nothing that can stop you!

Gareth Peter is the author of My Daddies! and Who Will You Meet on Santa Claus Street. He has written several musicals, including Bluebird, whose album has sold all over the world. He lives in Nottingham with his partner, two adopted children and two huskies.
