Join Vision Redbridge Culture & Leisure for Mental Health Awareness Week.

In this session we will practice several meditation activities. These activities will help us at times to settle anxiety, to find a deeper sense of peace within, to start the journey in settling the mind from overthinking and mostly to gain some understanding on how to make our inner world a more comfortable place to be, and which we can return to when in need of relaxing.

It is a step forward that can help to change our whole inner world, one breath at a time. One moment at a time. One meditation practice at a time.

Take a deep breath in and out. Repeat as often as you like.

Love reading and discussing books? Join our Rapid Reads Sharing Circle to share and discuss our favourite quick reads for Black History Month!

We’ll be diving into books under 200 pages long and then gathering to chat about them over a cuppa. You can also join us online via Teams.

Featured Rapid Reads:

  • Hello Mum by Bernadine Evaristo
  • The Last White Man by Mohsin Hamid
  • Annie John by Jamaica Kincaid
  • Home by Toni Morrison
  • Sula by Toni Morrison

These are suggested books, so feel free to read any other book/s suitable for Black History Month less than 200 pages. You can then recommend your read to others at the sharing circle.

We are eager to hear your thoughts and recommendations!

You can join the book chat in person at Redbridge Central Library.

Or you can join online. The online joining details will be emailed to you one week before the book chat and again on the morning of 22 October.

For more information, please email library.information@visionrcl.org.uk.
