Get Lost and Found and The Roald Dahl Story Company presents

ROALD DAHL AND THE IMAGINATION SEEKERS

All around the world Roald Dahlʼs words are disappearing, not only from books but children’s minds too!

Now only a secret organisation known as the Ancient Guild of TaleTenders can save the stories – and they need your help…

Join Terry Tibblestick from the ancient guild of TaleTenders and his assistant Brenda Bogg. We learn all about what taletending involves and how to look after stories.  TaleTenders have existed since the beginning of time and their one job is to remember and recall all the words of their storyteller-but maybe Terry hasn’t been as diligent as he could have been?

Follow Brenda’s journey as she reveals her discovery of the missing words, sparking danger that they are being eaten by the dreaded Wurblegobblers. Help her as she tries to convince Terry of the real and present danger the stories are in as she challenges him to see if he’s been protecting and preserving the stories, as she tries to restore the words to the books using imagination, play and a heart full of tenderness.

Especially made for ages 5 and up, the show develops both creative and literacy skills through performance, games, and creative play, while exploring Roald Dahl’s extraordinary stories, including The BFG and The Twits along the way

The Little Mermaid Film Screening (PG)

“The Little Mermaid” is the beloved story of Ariel, a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure. The youngest of King Triton’s daughters, and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea.

Production Year: 2023

Cast: Halle Bailey, Jonah Hauer-King, Melissa McCarthy

Winston Churchill is arguably one of the most famous Englishmen that has ever lived. His inspirational leadership helped win the Second World War, and his parliamentary career of 62 years ensured he was responsible for many momentous decisions.

They say that behind every great man, there is a great woman. Was this true in Churchill’s case? What of Clementine, his wife for 56 years? Did he bully her like he did so many other people? Was he as grumpy and irascible at home as he often was in the House of Commons? Given his strength and conviction, did Clem have any influence on him at all?  Or was she ‘the little lady at home’?

All these questions will be answered, and many more, in Liz Grand’s superb, moving, sensitive and informative portrayal of Clementine Churchill. (Liz’s other current shows are ‘The Second Best Bed’ and ‘Where Is Mrs. Christie?’).

Winston himself said, “my most brilliant achievement was my ability to be able to persuade my wife to marry me.”

“This single actress show makes huge demands on Liz Grand who occupies the stage for two full acts on her own: it is a huge ‘tour de force’, a tremendous amount to learn and deliver, and she holds and absorbs our attention brilliantly.” – Behind the Arras

“Winston Churchill… it’s all been covered, hasn’t it? Well, no, actually. Enter writer Kit Hunter who has more than filled that yawning chasm in our knowledge. And place his words in the mouth of acclaimed actor Liz Grand, add the bold directional skills of Chris Jaeger, and what you have is a stage play that can have no equal.” –  Showtime
