Welcome to the vibrant and bustling Black Exchange marketplace, where a kaleidoscope of colours, sounds, and scents weave together to create a unique and unforgettable experience. This vibrant marketplace is the heart of the community, serving as a cultural hub, a gathering place, and a focal point of trade and commerce.

The market’s layout is a labyrinth of stalls, each packed with vendors selling an array of goods. Colourful stalls line the pathways, displaying a rich variety of products. You’ll find an assortment of arts and crafts, clothing and home-ware and health & beauty products, each showcasing the artistic prowess of Black culture.

This event is hosted by The Association of African Caribbean Communities in collaboration with Redbridge Equalities and Community Council celebration of rich cultural heritage illustrated through; activities, entertainment, food, music, stalls and exhibition. Dr Morgan Dalphinis is back to cover aspects of Caribbean History plus other inspirational speakers.

Join Tinder Sticks for an adult bushcraft workshop discovering basic bushcraft skills.

This session will focus on how to make fire using natural materials and the importance of shelter, as well as how to find and purify water and learning how to whittle!

Develop your outdoor confidence in a beautiful woodland setting.

5 September – We’ll be clearing out one of the ponds and improving the area for nature.

12 September – We’ll be working to clear some scrub from important skylark nesting areas.

19 September – Join us as we continue to clear scrub to enhance long grass meadow areas.

26 September – We’ll be making some improvements to key paths and bridges in the park.
