This international smash-hit tribute show brings all ABBA’s number one hits to the stage in a production like no other. The hugely popular show, now in its 20th year, with a brand-new show for 2023 combines the unmistakable harmonies, colourful costumes, and dazzling performances by our all-star cast.

Famous War-Time tunes & “sing-a-long” songs brought to life by the singers and multi-instrumentalists of the “Five Star Swing” band, (“Superb, they swing like crazy!” – Sheila Tracy, BBC). Featuring Simone from the latter days of the Ivy Benson Orchestra plus Chris Smith (Jnr) composer and arranger for Glenn Miller’s Brother, Herb and the BBC Radio Big Band.

Come get your face painted in the style of the tiger from ‘The Tiger who came to Tea’, the White Rabbit from ‘Alice in Wonderland’, or as Spiderman from the Spiderman comicbook series.

The session is running from 1pm to 3pm on Thursday 24 August at Hainault Library. There will be a £2 charge per child for the session, and is for children 4 to 9 years old.

Gavin lives in South Wales with his wife, his young son and their cat, George. He spends his days working as a school liaison officer with the police and won the Greenhouse Funny Prize in 2013 with his debut book, Murray the Horse.

Allen Fatimaharan bio:
Allen Fatimaharan was born in Sri Lanka, but grew up in Southern India and France. Now living in the UK, he works as an illustrator and animator. In 2018 he won second place in the FAB Prize for illustration. My Hair was his first picture book.

A drawing/writing family workshop with author Elena Arevalo Melville

In her award winning picture book Umbrella, an ordinary looking yet magical umbrella grants those in the park what they need, in the spirit of empathy and community. But perhaps not everyone in that park has understood how it works… Come and explore the world of Umbrella where the magic of sharing comes alive. Following a reading of the book, writer and illustrator Elena Arevalo Melville will guide you through some steps to draw and write your wishes onto card. Elena cannot make wishes come true, but in this magical family workshop, she hopes to make your wishes come together.

Biography

She is a mother, a writer, an illustrator, a cartographer and leads workshops and art clubs in comics and art for children and adults.
