There are many animals that take flight at night. We are often in bed, fast asleep. Wouldn’t it be great to see what is flying around at night in the Borough? We’ve organised a special event for people to come along and hear a talk about moths. You’ll also have an opportunity to see what we caught the night before in our moth trap. Don’t worry, the moths will still be alive, just resting!

Bill Crooks will do a short talk about moths. He has many years of experience catching and recording moths. He has caught and ID’d over 560 different species of moths in his garden. Bill is on the Essex Verification Panel of the Essex Moth Group. He has been interested in wildlife since he was a boy and has a particular interest in bats, reptiles, birds and amphibians.
