Our special LGBT+ History Month Book Chat on Wednesday, 7 February, 2pm to 3.15pm is perfect if you enjoy reading and discussing books with LGBT+ themes. The discussion will be centred on ‘Homebodies’ by Tembe Denton-Hurst, a debut novel.
Urgent, propulsive and strikingly insightful, Homebodies is a thrilling debut novel about a young Black writer whose world is turned upside down when she loses her coveted job in media and her searing manifesto about racism in the industry goes viral. Homebodies is a testament to those trying to be heard and loved in a world that refuses to make space.
But don’t worry if you’re unable to read this book – other LGBT+ titles can also be recommended and discussed. The book chat is free and will take place at Redbridge Central Library and on Zoom.
This event is part of LGBT History Month, see our dedicated page for more events.
