Redbridge Outdoor Arts Programme 2025

Experience celebratory play and clowning, human and animal connection through puppetry and dance, weaving poetry and rap with Hip Hop, celebrating cultures, stories and past generations. 

Our shows are accessible, relaxed, take place on flat surfaces and performed outdoors, meaning you don’t have to sit still or be quiet throughout! You can come with the family, alone or with friends, and seating is provided.

Chad Taylor presents Closer To My Dreams

‘Closer to my Dreams’ weaves poetry and rap with Hip Hop choreography. Living very parallel lives, the story shows the journey of two brothers, their peers, family and friends.

A playful, heartfelt and unique take on family and friendship, exploring universal questions of how we respond to the trials and tribulations that life throws at us, what path to take, when to hustle and when to let go.

PATOIS tells a story of lost languages, longing and belonging through traditional Caribbean folk and contemporary dance, accompanied by an original music score. 

Join us on a journey to rediscover hidden voices and identities that are rooted in dialects that are buried within us as we reawaken stories and generations of the past.

A clown stumbles before it’s audience and dances between the chattering heads and singing hands of strangers. 

 A visual spectacle of physical comedy that tears down barriers, celebrates silence and laughs into the face of frustration – in an effort for one clown to simply say “hello!”

Sonia Sabri Company presents Mughal Miniatures: Animal Paradise

Mughal Miniatures: Animal Paradise is a vibrant dance performance for all the family, taking inspiration from the exquisite traditional art of Indian and Persian miniature painting through expressive dance, evocative puppetry and incredible music. 

Dancers in sumptuous costumes create a captivating living picture, transporting you back in time to the richness of the Mughal Empire with a surprising contemporary twist.
