Don’t miss our FREE Active Stars programme beginning on Monday 28 April
Starting Monday 28 April, Active Stars sessions will take place at Redbridge Central Library every Monday at 4:30pm and every Tuesday from 5pm to 5:30pm online via Microsoft Teams every, during term time only. Each 30-minute session is packed with energy-boosting bodyweight and cardio exercises, as well as yoga, dance, and pilates — all led by our enthusiastic instructors.
Join us online for a FREE after school 30-minute physical activity session for children aged 5-11 years old.

Active Stars is a free, fun-filled, family-focused healthy lifestyle course for 5-11 year olds and their families

What will we do?
- Every week you’ll have the opportunity to attend healthy eating sessions, learn how to make healthy snacks and meals, how to be sugar smart and much more! You’ll also be able to join in with plenty of games, activities, dance and fun activities suitable for the whole family

What else do I need to know?
- To be eligible for a free place, your family needs to:
- Have at least one child (age 5-11) who is above the recommended weight for their age and height. You can check in just a few seconds using the NHS BMI calculator here You must also live in Redbridge (or be registered with a GP or go to school here).
- You will be contacted after a referral is received and given location information
- It’s a family-focused course and therefore parents needs to be present and involved on a weekly basis.
- Questionnaires and measurements will be taken to support progress.
- 3, 6 and 12 month follow up activity days will be offered to support our families to achieve long term positive change.
How do I sign up?
Children can be referred through schools, GP’s, Health Professionals or parents (self-referral). Simply click on the referral form below and fill in our form!
What happens now?
After a referral is received, one of the Active Stars team will be in touch via the contact method provided and discuss the programme in full. They will be able to answer any questions you may have about the programme and confirm your place on Active Stars.
