Redbridge Drama Centre is located in South Woodford, only a short walk from South Woodford Tube station (Central Line). Our affordable and versatile rooms are suitable for performances, meetings, workshops and rehearsals. All studios have wifi, vinyl floors, air conditioning and sound systems. Prices are available on request. Studios can be hired Monday-Friday and Sundays, we have limited availability on Saturdays. All of our spaces are fully accessible and we can also provide the following:

Lovegrove Theatre
The Lovegrove Theatre is a fully equipped black box studio theatre with retractable seating, which seats 130. Full technical support is available for bookings and performances.
Telford Theatre
The Telford Theatre is a fully equipped black box studio theatre with retractable seating, which seats 72. Full technical support is available for bookings and performances.
Circus Studio
The Circus Studio is a black box studio with aerial and lighting rig.
The Pirko Studio is equipped with a mirrored wall and ballet barre. This studio also has large windows for lots of natural light. Extra ballet barres are available on request.
Our large, quirky foyer area is perfect for children’s parties. Our bar is open 1 hour before performances and can be added to party packages. We offer a selection of teas, coffees, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages.

About the venue
WANSTEAD YOUTH CENTRE IS NOW CLOSED
Redbridge Council is proposing to deliver an education and youth hub at Wanstead Youth Centre, securing its future for use by generations of children, young people, and local community groups.
In September 2023 Redbridge Council published a report recommending a way forward for the centre, which includes the delivery of education services, a tuition centre, and an Early Years Play and Development centre alongside adding youth services.
The proposals include renovating the building and co-locating education and youth services to create an education and youth hub serving the west of Redbridge. Additional funding would be secured through the council’s ringfenced Education Service to deliver the scheme.
The building on Elmcroft Avenue was temporarily closed to outside hirers in October 2023, so surveying works could begin. This work is ongoing.
Vision RCL worked with businesses and groups previously hiring space at the centre to help them relocate to alternative venues. Kids In Charge, a childcare service which was based at the centre, has now moved to Nightingale Primary School.

Redbridge Central Library is located in the heart of Ilford Town Centre, a short walk from Ilford Train Station. The Library has four rooms available to hire: Studio 1, Studio 2, The Gloucester Room and The York Room. You can hire our rooms individually or maximise your capacity and hire them together.

The Gloucester Room is our largest hall holding up to a maximum of 90 guests. The hall is perfect for community groups, small scale concerts and comedy performances and much more.
The York Room is ajoining to the Gloucester Room. The 2 halls can be hired individually, or together. There is a servery hatched connected to this room, which makes it the perfect space for serving and selling refreshments.
