Afro Classics is the UK’s largest and oldest African and Caribbean classic car club, founded in 2017 in London. We are a tight-knit community that celebrates our shared passion for vintage automobiles and the rich cultural heritage we represent.

Our club motto, “We make the club not our cars,” reflects our belief that the true value lies in the connections we forge, rather than the cars themselves. As we expand our reach to metropolitan areas with large African and Caribbean populations, we invite you to join our growing family of classic car enthusiasts.

Biography

Errol McKellar is a prostate cancer survivor and founder of The Errol McKellar Foundation.

After finding out by pure chance that he had the disease in late 2010, Errol had an operation to remove his prostate.
On his return to work as a mechanic some months later, he felt it was his calling to offer men a 20% discount if they went to have their PSA blood test to check for prostate cancer.

His actions have saved many lives and
over the years, Errol has made it his mission to raise the awareness of prostate cancer as it affects too many men and their families in the UK. Thus came The Errol McKellar Foundation with the MOT Yourself campaign and motto.

Errol is working with Afro Classics Car Club to bring greater awareness to this very important topic. The Foundation will be raising funds to get a mobile PSA blood testing vehicle, so that it can visit local communities, enabling men to have a blood test without having to visit their GP, unless they test positive.

Errol’s tireless efforts to raise the awareness have been recognised over the years, notably by the NHS in 2018 for the Heroes Award. He also received an MBE in 2021 and was given a Diversity and Inclusion Award at the National Men and Boys Awards in 2022.
