Meet: Fairlop Waters car park east (Outdoor Activity Centre), Forest Road, Barkingside IG6 3HN

Day 1 of 3, we’ll be working on the Bird Island, clearing swathes of bramble and willow to improve the habitat for wildfowl and wading birds. Arrive early to be kitted out with H&S gear to travel by boat.

Meet: Brisbane Road entrance to Valentines Park, IG1 4TX

We’ll return back to the butterfly meadow in order to scythe and manage the meadow.

Meet: Claybury entrance on Roding Lane North, opposite Vicarage Road IG8 8NQ

We’ll return to the Repton Oak to make some enhancements to the dead hedge and clear vegetation.

On Sunday 10 November, the Redbridge community will have the opportunity to show their support and gratitude to commemorate the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women who served in the two World Wars and later conflicts.

CIVIC SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE
At Ilford War Memorial on Sunday 10 November 2024 at 10.50am

RBL Chaplain Rev. Chris Morgan will lead the service.

Silence at 11am followed by wreath laying.

Come and hear some of the finest young musicians in London perform at Sir James Hawkey Hall.

Wednesday 22 November

RMS Symphonic Band, Intermediate Orchestra, Junior Wind Band and Brass Band.

Programme to include Highlights from the ‘Lion King’, The Best of Bond (From Russia with Love, Goldfinger, The James Bond theme and You Only Live Twice) Medley from The Phantom of the Opera and tour de force for Symphonic Band, Gaelforce by Peter Graham.

Thursday 23 November

RMS Symphony Orchestra, Intermediate Wind Band, Junior String Orchestra and Jazz Orchestra.

Programme to include Vlatava by Smetana, All that Jazz from ‘Chicago’, Habanera from Carmen, We Will Rock You, with RMS Jazz Orchestra playing classics including Take 5 and the Chicken by Pee Wee Herman.

Entry by programme which will be available on the door:
£7.50 adults, £5.50 concessions (students, pensioners, JSA and families receiving income support)
Children free with a paying adult.
