An ideal taster session which is suitable for competent riders who have limited off road cycling experience who would like to try mountain biking.

Redbridge Cycling Centre offers one-to-one coaching sessions for adults and children (recommended age 6 and above) who want to learn to ride. Whether you’re starting from scratch or just need a refresher, it’s never too late to learn!

Over the past year, hundreds of people have successfully learned to ride with us. Most learners pick up the basics within a single one-hour session, although follow-up or refresher sessions are available if needed.

Please note that these sessions are very popular, and a waiting list may be in operation during busy periods.

All sessions take place outdoors, so please dress appropriately for the weather. Refunds are only available if a session is cancelled by the centre.

This is a programme of 2 sessions over 2 days in our Learn to Ride area: Learn to balance, learn to pedal, get riding, aimed at getting children learning to ride in a short period of time.

The first session will teach balance, gliding and co-ordination. The second session will teach them how to pedal without stabilisers and then focus on them braking, cornering and their bike handling skills.

Explore what creatures live underwater in Hainault Forest. We will use pond dipping equipment to find out what creatures live in the lake.

We will stay on dry land as we dip nets into the lake from a platform. All equipment will be provided along with ID guides to help identify your discoveries.

Because this activity takes place next to open water the maximum group number is 5 children. Siblings will not be able to take part unless they have a pre-booked ticket too.

This session is for children aged 6+ only.
